Planned surveys

In 2008-2013, the Labour Market and Education Observatory of Malopolska will conduct periodic surveys (Vocational Graduates Survey and Employers' Survey), one-off surveys and desk research.

The Vocational Graduates Survey covers a description of occupational and education paths, factors determining success or failure on the labour market or decisions to continue education. Schools will be rated according to a range of indicators, such as employability, further education success and wages received. This information will help future students in choosing schools that ensure an occupational success.

The survey will consist of two steps:

  • a student survey (with school involvement) and
  • a graduate survey (one year after graduation).

The methodology will include statistical description, cross-linked tables, factor analysis and regression analysis. From 2009 on the survey has been conducted on an annual basis.

Employers' Survey will aim at acquiring information on the demand for personnel and on qualification deficits in Malopolska. The survey should help in designing training courses in the region.

From 2009 on the survey has been conducted on an annual basis.

Vocational Graduates Survey will aim at gathering complex information regarding the fates of vocational school graduates. The main objective of the study is to discover their professional careers routes.

Desk research
will be on an ad-hoc basis in response to requests of regional bodies. Cross-topic papers and in-depth studies are envisaged in selected areas. The Observatory is currently planning to up-date the study Migrations in Latest Research.
