"Competent through mobility" seminar

Held on 5th and 6th May 2010, in turn in Kraków, Nowy Sącz, and Tarnów, the Days of Work, Education, and Training are a Europe-wide event held in many European cities. The crucial objective of the action is to promote mobility in the labour market and public employment services aiding people seeking employment in their home country and abroad.
The meetings were addressed both to employers who could participate in seminars devoted to the question of mobility and the acquisition of human resources, and to students and young people planning their future career in a trade who could benefit from numerous workshops and individual meetings with career counsellors.
During the seminar opening the project in Kraków, Antonina Michalska, a representative of the Observatory, presented the latest results of the Małopolska employer survey. The seminar was devoted to the discussion of vocational mobility and the competences that employers expect to find in the people they hire.
