The meeting dealt with lifelong learning for the purposes of entrepreneurship and the economy taking into account the technological progress and national competitiveness. The Observatory was represented by Adam Biernat and Maria Leńczuk.

The event was organised by the Finland Futures Research Centre together with the Finland Futures Academy, Finnish National Board of Education and with the Wanha Satama exhibition and conference centre in Helsinki.

The conference was intended to promote innovative solutions in education for the labour market through the exchange of experiences, public debate and presentation of the latest solutions helping to introduce new approaches to learning and innovation.

The main subject areas included:

  • Learning and innovative environments
  • Challenges for innovative companies

  • Role of education in innovation systems
  • Innovative leadership
  • Future challenges for education
  • Technology as facilitator in learning and innovation

For the Observatory this was an opportunity to introduce our experience to an international audience. We also took advantage of the presence of our partners from Italy and Finland to further refine our research cooperation plans.
