First meeting of the Observatory Council

The meeting was attended by the representatives of cooperating institutions: the Regional Labour Office, the Transport, Economics and Infrastructure, Education and Sport and Information Society Departments of the Marshal's Office, the Education Office in Kraków, the Małopolska Agency for Regional Development and the Statistical Office in Kraków.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the results of current activities in the project, first of all the results of the research on "Monitoring of job offers" and "The Survey on the information needs of decision makers in the cooperating institutions". The findings and the recommendations from the survey were presented by one of its authors - Barbara Worek - an expert from the Jagiellonian University. The main result of the research was a list of research areas indicated as insufficiently recognised by employees of the regional institutions in Małopolska. Two of them - indicated by the Observatory Council - will be researched in 2007.
