Województwo Małopolskie - the Malopolska Region (the Polish name for region is województwo - voivodeship) is a province in southern Poland with a capital in the city of Krakow. It is part of the broader ancient Malopolska which, together with Wielkopolska and Śląsk (Silesia), formed the early medieval Polish state.
